Crystal Quest utilizes a proprietary blend of media composed of a special high-purity alloy of two dissimilar metals, copper and zinc (ERA-6500, ERA-9500), along with ion exchange resins. This combination effectively reduces heavy metals such as lead, copper, aluminum, and addresses water hardness. Additionally, it incorporates granulated activated coconut shell and catalytic GAC's.

Granulated Activated Carbon (GAC) is widely acknowledged and extensively used as a highly efficient adsorbent for diverse organic contaminants. It targets substances like chlorine (99.9% removal efficiency), chloramines, associated byproducts, carcinogenic chemicals (THM's, benzene), PCBs, MTBEs, and numerous other chemical impurities commonly found in water. These contaminants often contribute to unpleasant taste and odors in drinking water.

In addition to its filtration capabilities, the cartridge contains an Alkalizing media designed to naturally enhance alkalinity. This blend includes magnesium oxide and calcium oxide, natural minerals incorporated into our pH Enhancing Blend. This solution is not only non-hazardous but also environmentally friendly and represents a cost-effective method for treating alkalinity.
